POROS

-Vädret har nu varit ostadigt några dagar. Ena dagen 32 grader och sol, nästa dag 22 grader och regn. Förmiddag regn och eftermiddag sol. Detta har pågått i 3 dagar men börjar nu stabilisera sig igen. Från i morgon fredag får vi vackert väder igen och en temperatur på ca 23 grader. Hösten har kommit med behagligare temperaturer. För övrigt planerar vi för byte av ca 50 st sängmadrasser till nästa säsong. Även ytterdörrarna planerar vi att byta ut till nya säkerhetsdörrar med nytt låssystem. Vårt förbättringsarbete pågår ständigt.

-The weather has been unstable for a few days now. One day 32 degrees and sun, the next day 22 degrees and rain. Morning rain and afternoon sun. This has been going on for 3 days but is now starting to stabilize again. From tomorrow Friday we will have beautiful weather again and a temperature of about 23 degrees. Autumn has arrived with more pleasant temperatures. In addition, we are planning to replace about 50 bed mattresses for next season. We are also planning to replace the exterior doors with new security doors with a new locking system. Our improvement work is ongoing.

Det är mycket arbete nu under högsäsongen juli och augusti då hotellet är i det närmaste fullbokat. Jag arbetar nu 16 timmar per dygn 7 dagar i veckan så det finns väldigt lite tid över för att uppdatera bloggen. Jag lyckades i alla fall komma ifrån några timmar för några dagar sedan och tillsammans med min dotter och hennes kompisar åkte vi över till Aleki beach på fastlandet söder om Galata. En härligt långgrund badstrand med fin sandbotten. Nu under juli och augusti går det taxibåtar flera gånger per dag från Poros stad direkt till Aleki beach och det kostar bara 2 euro per person.

There is a lot of work now during the high season of July and August when the hotel is almost fully booked. I now work 16 hours a day 7 days a week so there is very little time left to update the blog. I managed to get away for a few hours a few days ago and together with my daughter and her friends we went over to Aleki beach on the mainland south of Galata. A lovely shallow beach with a nice sandy bottom. Now during July and August there are taxi boats several times a day from Poros town directly to Aleki beach and it only costs 2 euros per person.

-En av de sista föreställningarna på bion i år. Det är en speciell känsla att sitta på taket direkt under stjärnorna. Bion är utrustad med den modernaste digitaltekniken vilket ger en otroligt bra bild och ljud. Mitt i filmen görs ett litet uppehåll då man kan passa på att köpa öl, läsk, snacks mm i den lilla kiosken i hörnet.

-One of the last shows at the cinema this year.  It is a special feeling to sit on the roof directly under the stars.  The cinema is equipped with the most modern digital technology, which gives an incredibly good picture and sound.  In the middle of the film, there is a small break when you can take the opportunity to buy beer, soft drinks, snacks etc. in the small kiosk in the corner.
